Abstract: In the present research, two novel coordination polymers (CPs) containing Co(II) ions as nodes have been prepared by solvent thermal reaction between free organic ligands of HL and Co(NO3)2·6H2O in distinct solvent systems, and their chemical formulae are [Co(L)2]·CH3CN (1, (HL = 6-aminonicotinic acid) and [Co(L)2] (2). Their treatment activity on the spinal osteomyelitis was assessed. Meanwhile, the specific mechanism was investigated. First, the inflammatory cytokines content released into the paravertebral soft tissue was detected through the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection kit. In addition to this, the reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels in the paravertebral soft tissue were also determined with flow cytometry.
