Abstract: Solubility of anticancer drugs in supercritical carbon dioxide has attracted much interest in the recent past, and from the literature, it is clear that solubility measurement and model prediction was a challenging and time-consuming task. The micronization of drug particle using supercritical carbon dioxide (ScCO2) requires exact solubility data. But solubility measurement at each and every condition has become a difficult task. Hence, proper model identification or development is essential. Therefore, there is need for the development of new solubility models. Hence, in the present work two forms of simplified equation of state models were proposed to correlate the solubility data. The efficacies of the proposed models were evaluated by comparing with existing fourteen density models and Peng–Robinson equation of state (PREOS) model. Moreover, Akaike’s Information Criterion (AIC) and p-test were performed to identify the best model.
