Abstract:

Through utilizing the mixed-ligand approach, two coordination polymers containing Co(II) (namely, {[Co(HDCPN)(4,4′-bpy)(CH3CH2OH)(H2O)2]·0.5CH3CH2OH}n (1) and {[Co3(DCPN)2(4,4-bibp)4(H2O)4]·2CH3CH2OH·5H2O}n (2)) have been generated with a hydrothermal condition by the reaction between H3DCPN (6-(3,5-dicarboxylphenyl)nicotinic acid) and Co(NO3)2·6H2O with various N-donor co-ligands. On the lung cancer treatment, their application values were investigated and the associated mechanism was tested in meantime. First of all, the Cell Counting Kit-8 kit was implemented and the compounds’ inhibitory effect against the lung cancer cells viability was determined. Moreover, the trans-well detection was also carried out and the lung cancer cells invasion and migration ability was measured after finishing the specific treatment. The vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) signaling pathway expression in the levels of protein and mRNA was examined through western blotting detection and real time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) assay, respectively.
