Digital model of polar liquid absorption bands visualization

Abstract:

An improved method for identification of polar liquids has been developed. A visualized map of the polar liquid’s response surface was created. Mathematical model of the process of pulse sounding of the dielectric-metal system in the microwave range was applied. Visualization of the digitized response surface of the wave reflection coefficient distribution was provided. Strategy for automatic response surface exploration was realized. Calculation of the polar liquid’s absorption bands from the digitized response surface was implemented based on the developed software visualization module run. Data sets of selective values of the wavelength and layer thickness, specific for the example polar liquid—chloroform was obtained. For identification purpose a database has been built, composed of the selective values data sets forming the spectrum of absorption bands of the known substance. Proposed method makes it possible to identify the test substance by comparing its spectrum with spectrum of known standard substances.
