Abstract: In a search for new bactericidal and fungicidal agents some new piperazine-N,N'-bis-substituted derivatives have been prepared and characterized by their elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, and mass spectral data. The antibacterial and antifungal activities of all prepared compounds have been determined using Gentamycin as standard antibiotic. Some compounds showed a high activity equivalent to that of the standard towards Escherichia coli, Serratia marcescens, Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus, and Candida albicans.
