Preparation and characterization of 2-alkylthio-4-(4-bromomethylbenzoyloxy)-6-methylpyrimidines

Abstract: By the reaction of 2-alkylthio-4-hydroxy-6-methylpyrimidines with 4-bromomethylbenzoyl chloride, new 2-alkylthio-4-(4-bromomethylbenzoyloxy)-6-methylpyrimidines were prepared. The structure of the prepared compounds was determined on the basis of IR, NMR, and mass spectral data and elemental analysis.
