Phase-transfer catalyzed synthesis of α-ferrocenylmethylenecycloalkanones

Abstract: Synthesis of α-ferrocenylmethylenecycloalkanones from cyclic ketones and ferrocenecarbaldehyde under phase transfer catalysis is described. E and Z isomers of 3-ferrocenylmethylene-l,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2,2,l]heptan-2-one were easily separated by the column chromatography.
