Experimental study of coupled chemical oscillators of the Belousov-Zhabotinskii type

Abstract: The dynamic behaviour of oscillation reactions of the BZ type was investigated by using double-substrates and bubbling inert gas in a closed system. The oscillation reactions were chemically coupled via the common bromine-containing species. Some new phenomena which do not occur in simple noncoupled systems have appeared. The limiting cycles confirming the complexity of behaviour of the studied systems were measured.
