Preparation and antimicrobial properties of 2-alkyl-3-dodecyl-5-chloromethyloxazolidines

Abstract: Ten new 2-alkyl-3-dodecyl-5-chloromethyloxazolidines were prepared by the cyclocondensation of a carbonyl compound with l-dodecylamino-3-chloro-2-propanol. The structure of the synthesized compounds was determined on the basis of IR and mass spectral data. Antimicrobial activity of these compounds-was studied.
