 Synthesis and pesticidal activity of alkylthiomethylphenyl N-methyl- or N,N-dimethylcarbamates

Abstract: A synthesis of alkylthiomethylphenyl N-methyl- or N,N-dimethylcarbama- tes is described. A pesticidal activity of all compounds prepared was deter­ mined. As compared with the standard used the most active on Aphis fabae were 2-(methylthiomethyl)phenyl N,N-dimethyl-, 2-(ethylthiomethyl)phenyl N,N-dimethyl-, 2-(isopropylthiomethyl)phenyl N,N-dimethyl-, 2-(methyl- thiomethyl)phenyl N-methyl-, 2-(ethylthiomethyl)phenyl N-methyl-, 3-(eth- ylthiomethyl)phenyl N-methyl-, 2-(propylthiomethyl)phenyl N-methyl-, and 2-(isopropylthiomethyl)phenyl N-methylcarbamates and on M. sanbornii (sys­ temic activity) 2-(ŕerŕ-butylthiomethyl)phenyl N-methyl- and 2-(ethylthioeth- ylthiomethyl)phenyl N-methylcarbamates.
