 Study of Mn(II) acetate oxidation in acetic acid by air in the presence of Co (II) acetate

Abstract:  The influence of Co(II) acetate on the Mn(II) acetate oxidation by air in acetic acid has been studied. It was found out that the presence of Co(Ac)₂ has a profound catalytic effect on the reaction which is of the first order with respect to the concentration of Mn(II) as well as Co(II) acetate.
