Distribution of the residence time in a cascade of perfectly stirred vessels with backflow

Abstract:  The Klinkenberg analytical relation for calculating variances of the residence time distribution has been derived for a cascade of n perfect stirrers with backflow. This relation has been compared with some relations known from literature.
