Ion-exchange equilibrium in the system of strong acid cation-exchanger - metal ion - N-(2-hydroxyethyl)iminodiacetic acid

Abstract: Partition ratios of Fe(III), Cu(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), Ca(II), and Mg(II) ions in the system of strong acid cation exchanger Dowex 50 WX4—solution of sodium N-(2-hydroxyethyl)iminodiacetate have been studied in dependence on pH. Conclusions have been drawn about the possibilities of analytical use of the system studied for separation of ion pairs.
