Low-molecular-weight polyethylene as a low polarity high-temperature stationary phase for gas chromatography

Abstract: The properties of low-molecular polyethylene as stationary phase for gas chromatography are described. The resolving properties are characterized by retention indices of the standards according to McReynolds as well as the standards proposed for higher temperatures. The original sample of the low-molecular polyethylene as well as its extracted portion may be used up to 300°C. Some examples of the application of these phases are presented.
