 pH Values of the standard tetraborate buffer solution in 50% methanol

Abstract: The emfs. of a cell without transference were measured with a H-electrode and Ag/AgCl ref. electrode of the std. tetraborate buffer soln. in 50% MeOH (by wt.) at 15, 25, and 35°C. The measured emf. values were used for calcg. the conventional values pα_H* = -log m_HγH*₊ of the tetraborate buffer solns. in 50% MeOH. These values were recommended for calibration of pH-meters.
