Synthesis of N-acetyllactosamine and its 6-acetamido-6-deoxy and 6'-acetamido-6'-deoxy derivatives

Abstract:  The preparation of N-acetyllactosamine from 2,2',3,3',4',5,6,6'-octa-0-acetyllactobiononitrile as well as the preparation of methyl 6-acetamido-6-de oxy-N-acetyl- and methyl 6'-acetamido-6'-deoxy-N-acetyllactosaminidefrom suitable substituted derivatives of N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and D-galactose is described.
