Isolation and identification of alkaloids from Fritillaria imperialis L. var rubra maxima

Abstract: Imperialine and further alkaloids of mol. formula C₂₇H₄₁NO₂ and C₂₇H₄₅NO₃ were obtained from bulbs of F. imperialis var rubra maxima; the latter was identical with verticine. This is the first report of verticine in this plant.
