Abstract:  The dependence of Pec, Ped, Z, Kx, and d32 on axial position in a laboratory rotary-disc extraction column was determined experimentally by using the system water—acetone—toluene. These relationships were expressed by means of simple correlation relations and used for the calculation of the concentration profile of the substance transferred in apparatus in order that the effect of axial profiles might be appraised. Furthermore, the suitability of using the diffusion model for the calculation of rotary-disc extractor is discussed.
