Synthesis of 2-methyl-2-propoxypropyl isocyanide and its Cu(I) tetraflouroborate complex

Abstract: 2-Methyl-2-propoxypropyl isocyanide [CNCH₂C(OPr)(CH₃)₂] and its Cu(I) tetrafluoroborate complex [Cu{CNCH₂C(OPr)(CH₃)₂}₄]BF₄ were prepared in good yields and purities. Both compounds were fully characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopy.
