Abstract:  The paper presents synthetic processes for the preparation of the complex Cu(HCOO)₂(NH₃)₂ in two modifications denoted as α- and β-forms. Powder diffractograms and infrared spectra were used for the identification of the products. Though according to the results obtained by the said methods, the structure differences between the prepared modifications are comparatively small, they distinctly influence the course of heterogeneous reactions of the studied complexes with gaseous ammonia.
