Ammonolysis of methyl 2,3-anhydro-anhydro-4,6-O-benzylidene-α-D-mannopyranoside

Abstract: The reaction of methyl 2,3-anhydro-4,6-0-benzylidene-α-D-mannopyranoside with liquid ammonia, with a solution of ammonia in methanol, and with a solution of (NH₄)₂CO₃ in methanol is described.
