Determination of mass transfer coefficients in fluidized bed

Abstract: Adsorption of aqueous solutions on active charcoal is often used for
cleaning of industrial waters. The aim of our work is to show how it is
possible, using input and output concentrations, the calculation of the
coefficient of transfer of water through a liquid film. We have shown that
this coefficient does not depend on the amount of the charcoal used at
constant flow of the solution, which is thus contradicting the assumptions
made by Weber et al. We have calculated a correlation for determining the
coefficients of transfer of water through a liquid film.
