Abstract: The following Si compds. were tested as stationary phases for the sepn. of the α, β, γ, and δ isomers of HCH: XE-60, DOW-11, OV-17, and QF-1. The best sepn. was obtained on a column contg. a mixed filling of 1.5% OV-17 and 2% QF-1 on Chromosorb W. On this column the above-mentioned isomers as well as DDT and its metabolites can be sepd. The std. deviation of this method was 0.017-0.004 mg/kg. The variation coeff. was 3.00-10.42%. Various condensation procedures applied to the exts. and eluates obtained after purification of the samples were tested with respect to yield of the 4 isomers of HCH. A yield of 85.6-98.5% for each isomer was achieved with the std. condensation method.
