Abstract: The preparation of 3,6,6'-triacetamino-3,6,6'-trideoxy-penta-0-acetyl-0-α-D-allopyranosyl-(1 -> 1')-α-D-glucopyranoside from 3-0-tosyl-α,α-trehalose is described.
