Isothiocyanates and their synthetic formers. V. Synthesis of substituted 9-isothiocyanatoacridines and study of the relation between their physicochemical properties and structure

Abstract:  The preparation of 2- and 4-substituted 9-isothiocyanatoacridines is described via thiocyanate method. Infrared and ultraviolet spectra of the synthesized substances were interpreted and pK_a values were estimated. The results obtained are discussed from the view-point of relation between structure and properties of these substances.
