Abstract: New formiate copper(II) complexes of the type Cu(HCOO)₂(NL)₂ • 2H₂0 have beеп prepared; NL* is pyridine (py), ß-picoline (ß-pic), 3,4-lutidine (3,4-lut) or isoquinoline (iqu). Their magnetic susceptibilities were measured at room temperature and their diffusion reflexion spectra as well as their absorption spectra have been investigated. The structure of the above complexes are discussed on the basis of the results found.
