Friedel—Crafts Acetylation of Ferrocene Analogues of Benzophenone, Diphenylmethane and Stilbene

Abstract: Friedel — Crafts acetylation of ferrocenyl aryl ketones, ferrocenylarylmethanes and l-ferrocenyl-2-arylethenes was carried out, aryl being phenyl, 2-thienyl, 2-furyl and ferrocenyl, respectively. The reactivity of the mentioned aromates is discussed. The preparation of 1-ferrocenyl-2-arylethene is studied.
