Derivation of equations of adsorption isochrones and isoplanes in systems with a Langmuir adsorption isotherm

Abstract: The derivation of equations of adsorption isochrones and isoplanes, in systems of static working columns, where the adsorption equil. are detd. by the Langmuir adsorption isotherm is described. The effect of the resistance in the solid phase and the quasi-diffusion effects on the velocity of the process were evaluated. An equation, defining the effect of these factors on the total coeff. of the transfer of the matter, the value of which along the layer was diminished, is derived. With this equation it is possible to calc. the optimum working conditions. The validity of these equations is proven exptl. The kinetics of vapor adsorption on activated C layers is discussed.
