Abstract: The systems CuCl2.2H2O-LiCl-Me2CO Cu(NO3)2.3H2O-LiCl-Me2CO, Cu(ClO4)2.6H2O-LiCl-Me2CO,Cu(NO3)2.3H2O-LiBr-Me2CO, and Cu(ClO4)2.6H2O-LiBr-Me2CO were studied with the potentiometric and conductometric methods and with spectrophotometric measurements. It was detd. that the potentiometric titrn. curves of the systems contg. NO3- are different from the other systems, which indicates that the NO3- enters into the inner sphere of the Cu(II) complex. The stability of the Cu(II)-ligand bond decreases in this order: Cu(II)-Cl-, Cu(II)-NO3-, Cu(II)-ClO4- and Cu(II)-acetone. From the potentiometric and spectrophotometric data, the formation of complex ions of CuCl42- and of CuBr42- was detd. with the same ratio of Cu to Cl or Br; [Cu(II)]:[Cl-] or [Cu(II)]:[Br-] = 1.3 and 1.4.
