Decomposition of vitamin B₁₂ by ozone

Abstract: A method of releasing Co from vitamin B₁₂ by 1 hr. ozonization was described. Co is detd. by isotopic diln. analysis or by complexometric radiometric titrn. From the amt. of Co detd., the amt. of vitamin B₁₂ is calcd. With this method, the metal contamination occurring with the application of 5N HCl for releasing Co is eliminated. App. for the ozonization and kinetics of the decompn. of vitamin B₁₂ are described.
