Determination of polysubstituted complexes by the method of potentiometric surfaces

Abstract:   The Cu2+-NH3-C2O42- system was studied with the Cu and glass electrode. Titrn. of pure Cu2+ with NH3 soln. gave a standard curve showing the dependence of pCu and pH on the quantity of NH3 added. A potentiometric titrn. curve was obtained by adding successive amts. of C2O42- in NH3 soln. to the Cu2+. The uncomplexed components were detd. from the potentiometric surface. The 2 mixed complexes [Cu(C2O4)(NH3)2] and [Cu(C2O4)2NH3] were found from the 2 max. of the curve.
