The determination of the specific surface of bentonites

Abstract: The specific surface of 16 Slovak active earths was detd. by detg. the wettability temps. in adiabatic calorimeter on 3-4-g. samples and by a simple gravimetric method by detg. the retention of ethylene glycol by earths. The results of both methods agree.
