The determination of hexamethylenetetramine in the presence of formaldehyde in waste waters

Abstract:  The detn. of (CH₂)₆N₄ in small amts. and in the presence of CH₂O and various other matters usually present in wastes was described. (CH₂)₆N₄ is hydrolyzed with H₂SO₄, the soln. distd. to white fumes, and CH2O in the distillate is detd. colorimetrically with phenylhydrazine chloride in an alk. medium.
