Use of β-ray absorption for the determination of uranium and of thorium in aqueous solutions

Abstract: A ⁹⁰Sr source was used for sep. detns. of U and Th in the range 0-4% in aq. binary solns. Total activity of the β-source during measuring in a 10-ml. vessel was 1 mc. A calibration curve of logarithm of absorption vs. concns. of U and Th each must be prepd.
