Preparation of p-iodophenyl isothiocyanate labeled with sulfur-35 and iodine-131

Abstract: A new method for the prepn. of p-IC₆H₄NCS (I) labeled with¹³¹I by isotopic ion-exchange with Na I131 was described. The specific activity of I was small. For the prepn. of I tagged with ³⁵S  and  ¹³¹I of high sp. activity, a direct iodination of aniline with ¹³¹I and thiophosgenation of p-iodoaniline with CS₃₅SCl₂ was applied. Double labeled I is pure, suitable for biol. activity, and sol. in olive oil.
