Metabolism of Streptomyces aureofaciens in the biosynthesis of chlortetracycline on starch substrate

Abstract: In exptl. production under the conditions of short-time nonsterile fermentation, the metabolism of the amino acids, reducing matter, total N and amino N, in the biosynthesis of chlorotetracycline on corn starch substrate was studied. Under these conditions in short-time fermentations, the enriched starch substrate has no effect on the increase of the production of chlortetracycline.
