Dynamics of adsorption in batch operation of columns from the standpoint of the equations of height of a transfer unit

Abstract: The static adsorbing layer can be considered as a specific case of a column with fluid flowing continuously, in which the degree of satn. at the bottom of the height corresponding to a transfer unit is 1. A general equation is developed for the processes in a statically working layer. It is verified by measurement of the dynamics of adsorption of CS₂ on activated charcoal.
