Preparation and some crystallographic data of decavanadates of alkaline earth metals

Abstract: Sr₃V₁₀O₂₈.24H₂O and Ba₃V₁₀O₂₈.24H₂O crystallize from solns. of the corresponding peroxyvanadates after decompn. of the peroxy bonds with AcOH. Orange crystals of Sr₃V₁₀O₂₈.24H₂O are monoclinic, a 18.63, b 12.61, c 18.50 A., β 109°24'; Z 4; d. 2.528.
