Kinetics of adsorption on porous adsorbents

Abstract: Kinetic equations were detd. for adsorption on porous adsorbents in the region in which the Freundlich and the Langmuir equations of adsorption isotherms are valid and for the case when the outside diffusion dets. the rate of the adsorption. In the region where the Langmuir equation is valid the shape of kinetic curves under various working conditions is detd. by the const. m which is defined by the relation of the equil. value and max. satn. of the adsorbent. By these equations the curves of the relation of adsorbed amts. and the concn. to time were detd.
