Analytical control in the production of ethylene oxide by direct oxidation of ethylene

Abstract: Equations are presented for the computation of the conversion rate and selectivity in the oxidn. of C₂H₄ to ethylene oxide from the readings of continuous analyzers indicating % of C₂H₄, O, and CO₂ in the reaction mixt. and in the reaction product. The equations are corrected for the vol. contraction taking place during the reaction.
