Abstract: cf. C.A. 51, 7004f. Kinetics of Cl cleavage from chlorinated AS-lignin with NaOH is described. It was detd. that besides the aromatic bound Cl there is a considerable part of aliphatic bound Cl on the lignin chain which is present in 3 forms, very active or labile, medium active, and slowly active. The methods for detg. these 3 forms of Cl are described.
