Abstract: The effect of ZnO and stearic acid on kinetics of S reaction in rubber mixts. with and without accelerators was studied. It was proven that ZnO does not speed the reaction of S in sodium butadiene rubber (SKB-35). Contrariwise, in mercaptobenzothiazole mixts. ZnO decreases the speed of S reaction and forms ZnS. More ZnS is formed in mixts. contg. phenyl-2-naphthylamine and stearic acid.
