O,O'-Dialkyl(or diaryl)-S-trichloromethanesulfenyldithiophosphoric acid

Abstract: By reaction of dialkyl (or diaryl)dithiophosphoric acids or their alkali salts with Cl₃CSCl org. P compds. were prepd. O,O'-Dipropyl-S-trichloromethanesulfenyldithiophosphoric acid, mol. wt. 363.71, b. 116°, nD20 1.5565, d20 1.3639, an odorless oil, and the O,O'-diisobutyl analog, nD20 1.5405, d20 1.2902, an odorless oil, are described. All these compds. lack noticeable insecticide properties.
