The analysis of ferrates. I

Abstract: Two analytical methods for K₂FeO₄ detn. were studied and compared with the standard chromite method (Schreyer, et al., C.A. 45,982b). The method of back-titration of alk. arsenite with KMnO4 was satisfactory only for pure samples with no oxidative impurities. The other gas volumetric method was satisfactory for both pure and impure samples.
