O,O-Dialkyl-S-(N,N-dialkylthiocarbamyl) dithiophosphates

Abstract: By condensation of alk. salts of dialkyldithiophosphoric acid with dialkylthiocarbamylchloride, O,O-dialkyl-S-(N,N-dialkylthiocarbamyl) dithiophosphates (I) were prepd. By condensation of the K salt of diethyldithiophosphoric acid with diethylthiocarbamylchloride, O,O-diethyl-S-(N,N-diethylthiocarbamyl) dithiophosphate was prepd. as an oily substance, which purified was free of Cl, nD20 1.5706 and d20 1.1737. The equations of Orthner and Graf (C.A. 49, 15955f) and Szabo and Matolcsy (C.A. 49, 16309e) were checked and it was found that there was a concurrent reaction not resulting in I. The contact insecticide properties of I are negligible.
