The direct volumetric determination of terephthalic acid in the presence of p-toluic acid in pyridine medium

Abstract: By potentiometric tiration with 0.1M alc. NaOH soln. the terephthalic acid (I) in the presence of p-toluic acid (II) in pyridine was detd. The titration for the first max. dets. both I and II while the titration for the second max. dets. II. H₂SO₄ and HCl do not interfere.
