Polarographic determination of 5,5-dimethyldihydroresorcinol dimethylcarbamate

Abstract: A polarographic method is described for the detn. of 5,5-dimethyldihydroresorcinol dimethylcarbamate, an insecticide known as Dimetan, in the presence of 5,5-dimethyldihydroresorcinol, which is inactive. As a basic electrolyte tetramethylammonium hydroxide buffer and isopropyl alc. as a solvent was used.
