The isolation of galegine from Galega officinalis

Abstract: From the fresh seeds of G. officinalis, 0.63% galegine (I) was isolated in the form of sulfate. In seeds one year older the amt. of I was less than 0.1%. In the dried plant less than 6 months old, 0.065% of I was found, detd. as picrate and phosphotungstate, calcd. as sulfate.
