The reaction of tellurium with thiourea. III. The effect of other ions on the colorimetric determination of tellurium with thiourea

Abstract: cf. C.A. 48, 6315h. The colorimetric detn. of Te with thiourea in the presence of other ions was studied. This method can be applied in the presence of the most of the ions with no or a little change. The colored ions in large amts. interfere. Bi is the most disturbing, next is Mo, then V and Sb. In these cases Te is pptd. with SnCl₂ in a HCl medium. The detn. of traces of Te in Se is described.
