Abstract: Under anaerobic conditions, molasses mash with added bean and corn exts. fermented to 0.7% residual sugar in 57 hrs. It is evident from the expts., that the sugar-beet molasses does not contain all org. matter necessary for optimum lactic acid fermentation by L. delbr.ovrddot.uckii.
